Senior Critical Facilities Manager (Batam)

The Senior Critical Facilities Manager will be part of the Data Centre team.

Overview

The Senior Critical Facilities Manager leads 24/7 data center operations to ensure uptime, reliability, and compliance. The role serves as a key bridge between the operations team and the DC Operations Director, providing operational leadership, technical governance, and stakeholder management, including customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead 24/7 data center operations to ensure uptime, reliability, and SLA compliance
  • Act as key escalation point for incidents, driving resolution and root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Serve as a bridge to the DC Operations Director, supporting strategic execution and reporting
  • Oversee vendor performance and maintenance delivery quality
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and operational standards (SOP/MOP/EOP)
  • Manage change processes, risk assessments, and operational impact communication
  • Provide technical leadership across critical infrastructure systems and commissioning activities
  • Lead and develop a scalable, high performing team to support current data centre operations and future expansion
  • Lead customer and stakeholders engagement initiatives to enhance service quality, strengthen partnerships, and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage operational budgets, OPEX, and resources planning. Support CAPEX and OPEX planning.
  • Ensure achievement of uptime, customers’ SLA, team KPI and customers contractual commitments
  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, sustainability (PUE/WUE), cost optimization, and the adoption of data centre industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experiences

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in hyperscale data center operations, including people management responsibilities
  • Strong technical expertise in power systems, mechanical systems, reliability engineering, control systems (BMS, BAS, DCIM), and Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) technology
  • Proven experience in data center commissioning and operations
  • Solid understanding of technical governance, standards, and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in data center asset lifecycle management
