The NDP1 Facilities Shift Technicians will be part of the Data Centre team.

Overview
The NDP1 Facilities Shift Technician is responsible for the 24/7 Data Centre operations, monitoring, and maintenance of all critical infrastructure and facilities systems. This role is a shift-based duties role to ensure 100% uptime, uninterrupted availability, optimal performance and compliance with operational procedures, safety policies, and SLA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine rounds and inspections for all infrastructure systems in Data Centre: MV/LV Switchgear, RMU, UPS, Generators, busbars, chillers, cooling tower, HVAC systems, BMS, Fire Systems.
- Monitor and respond to all alerts, warning, alarm from BMS, BAS, Fire system, and other monitoring dashboards.
- Carry out front line troubleshooting, containment actions and escalation for deviations or alarms.
- Escort and monitor all planned preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, break-fix activities, emergency Change works according to OEM standards, approved SMOPs, checklist.
- Coordinate with all contractors, vendors, specialists during infrastructure service.
- Act as the first responder during critical alarms, faults, or emergencies and ensure escalation as follow policies and procedures.
- Perform safe isolation, switching, energization under supervision as required.
- Support smart hand and cross team tasks such as infrastructure checks for ICT hardware installation, MMR fiber patching support as permitted, rack energization / deenergisation, patch panel labelling, hot / cold aisle containment checks, deep cleaning escorting, customer-vendor escorting.
- Ensure clear verbal and written handover among all shifts and day technicians, engineers.
- Create CMMS Change Ticket and maintain the CMMS system, asset inventory, PTW system.
- Validate vendor work quality and sign off maintenance report and service reports.
- Work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders, operations team, connectivity team to accomplish tasks.
- Be prepared to provide shift coverage when required due to manpower shortages, emergencies, critical activities or additional manpower is needed.
- Willing to perform overtime when necessary for maintenance windows, urgent tasks, or operational demands, incidents or system breakdowns, emergency response events, post troubleshooting coordination, training.
- Assist with documentation, communication, and coordination during and after incidents.
Qualifications & Experiences
Mandatory Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in facilities or operations management
- Able to communicate in English
- Understanding of data centre MEPF infrastructure, HVAC, Chillers, CRAH, UPS, MV/LV switchgear, UPS, battery, fire system
- Follow up discipline, good coordination, customer facing skills
- Ability to review standard of Operations Procedure, Method of Procedure, Emergency of Operations Procedure, Incident Reports, Root Cause Analysis reports, asset management, PTW request
- Knowledge and experience of manage CMMS ticketing, Customer Portals, Change Management, PTW, PPM Planner, Corrective Maintenance, audit
- Able to work collaboratively with work relevant stakeholders
