Purpose of role

The purpose of that role is to support the development of our project Hawaiki Nui. Hawaiki Nui is a new 26,000 km submarine cable ( almost 2 times bigger than Hawaiki Cable ) connecting Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, with RFS planned for 2025.

Your role is to design and lead the design and development in your dedicated country : Australia.

Key tasks and responsibilities

 

Responsible for the planning, provision and installation of our Cable system in your country

  • Work on the definition of the project scope associated costs.
  • Support each step of the project : identification of landing sites, cable routing, technical solutions and identification of permitting requirements.
  • Perform all necessary consultations required to secure permits
  • Issue tenders for construction and power equipment
  • Assist in the selection, recruitment and training of appropriate personnel for the Hawaiki Nui cable station
  • Liaise with local suppliers and oversee cable station, land duct and BMH adaptation to the needs of Hawaiki Nui
  • Supervise, verify and proceed with acceptance fibre backhauls;
  • Assist in the procurement, testing and acceptance of suitable backhaul transmission and supervision equipment;
  • Assist in the selection and follow-up of a suitable provider of NOC services

 

Profile

For that ambitious challenge, we need Subsea Cable experience, a strong project management acumen, a strategic view, and the willingness to be part of something big.

  • More than 10 years of experience in the Telecommunication industry and ICT / connectivity ecosystem, with the Submarine Cable expertise
  • knowledge of regulations and statutory obligations
  • Project Management skills
  • Organized and results-oriented approach, challenge-driven personality.
  • Collaborative team player, solid leadership and open communication skills
